Take the “Three For Me” Challenge

Parent Involvement!

David Burcham PTA is making a concerted effort to increase parent involvement! Research has shown that when parents are involved, students have:

  • Higher grades, test scores, and graduation rates
  • Increased motivation, higher level of self-esteem
  • Better school attendance

In an effort to promote parent involvement, we are implementing a parent volunteer program endorsed by the National Parent Teacher Association, Three For Me.

What Is Three For Me?

Three For Me is a program in which parents commit to volunteering at least three hours over the course of the school year to support school & PTA initiatives.

 Your Challenge

Over the course of this school year, at least one Burcham parent or family member per student is asked to commit at least three volunteer hours. Volunteer opportunities are many and vary from things that can be done on campus or at home, during the day, night and even over the weekend. You will be pleasantly surprised to see how easy it is to volunteer. See examples below.

How will I know what the needs are?

More information, including volunteer opportunities, will be communicated via our weekly email newsletter.

 Make Your Pledge today!

Click on “JOIN” above to take the challenge or complete the Promise Form sent home with your child. Do either of these and you become a Three For Me volunteer. It’s that simple!
